Last weekend, students took a trip to Memphis, Tennessee. Memphis is most famous as the home of Elvis Presley, and the students took a tour of his house, Graceland. They also enjoyed a riverboat ride on the Mississippi River (the longest river in North America), visited the National Civil Rights Museum, heard live blues music on Beale Street, and tasted the city’s famous barbecue. IEI’s annual trip to Memphis is a favorite student activity as everyone experiences new aspects of American culture and has a great time with friends!
